Pick Of The Week

Pick Of The Week

Guys! I finally have a pick of the week after so long and I'm glad I waited. This is not a song, or a beauty product, or food. This is a magazine that I think EVERYONE must read at least once. As I said in my introduction video (I think) I am a proud African, a pan-African if you will. I'm sure many of you reading this blog are as well so I don't feel the need to go into detail about why pan-Africanism is important. What is also important is to avoid romanticizing The Continent. It's important to stay up to date about current events in the countries the make up Africa and New African magazine is a must have. The most striking thing about this magazine is how blunt and bold the writers are. They are not here to coddle westerners and their savior complex. They are also not here for people depicting Africa in a negative light, the way most news outlets do. I could go on and on about this African owned and African-run magazine, but I will leave it at this. All members of the diaspora need to get on! You can purchase the magazine at your local bookstore of it you are tech-y (lol) then download the app for $1.99 a month. That's way cheaper than a Vogue subscription so... Anyways, thank me later. <3 <3
