In Review: Maple Holistics' Special Formula Shampoo
Wowww, it's been a hot minute since I've posted anything!
A few weeks ago, I got an email from Maple Holistics and they basically were telling me about their brand, what they offer, etc. At first I was a bit confused.. I double checked my skin, after heading over to the site, as the people on the site looked quite…melanin deficient. Despite my reservations, I made sure to clarify that most of you guys look like me, so what Becky and Brad use, may not necessarily work for us. Maple Holistics assured me that their products are for everyone, even us. I kept my trusty side eye handy, as I sent a response email, agreeing to try out the product. I was expecting the worst, but when I got the shampoo and used it, I was pleasantly surprised. So here’s what worked and what didn’t with Maple Holistics’ Special Formula Shampoo (Tea Tree). Oh, also, keep reading because I have something very special for you.
It smells amazing, not too strong, but you’ll definitely still get that clean feeling. A little goes a long way, so you’ll get your money’s worth. If you’re like me and you wash your hair every two weeks or so, you’re set for at least the next two or three months. I also love that it lathers, but doesn’t lather too much.
Tea tree oil can be extremely drying and generally, if you don’t like the squeaky clean feeling, DON’T bother with this particular shampoo. You’ll be better suited for a product that offers something more hydrating, like lavender. If you have issues with an oily scalp, go for it. If your scalp is generally dry, RUN. If you would like to try this out, and you hate the squeaky clean feel, use nothing more than a dime-size and focus on your scalp when using it.
I’ve got something for ya:
